better photo project week thirteen

extra extra read all about it!

now if you’re not a londoner that probably means jack shit, the evening standard paper sellers used to shout this when selling their wears from their paper stands in the evenings, of course in the evenings. annnnny hoooooo i spin-off almost immediately from the subject that is this weeks better photo project.

this weeks task is about the cheap and cheerful extras that you can buy for your cameras and phones. now there’s some top suggestions on the post about bits and bobs you can get. now firstly this was a great reminder of all the things i would like to get but haven’t got round to, like a tripod, i quite fancy the look of those gorillapods, but need to work out which one will be best for me. i would also most definitely like one of those not so cheap ollo clip lenses for my iPhone, as you know how much me and my phone are in love.  but all these reminders were not going to help me with my homework as i would not have enough time to order them, get them and crack on with the task in hand. however it was then that i spied jenny from cheetahs in my shoes top recommendation. the very same recommendation she had given to me last year when i bought my camera, a polaroid macro close up filter set. of course i bought it, it arrived and then had no idea what to do with them, so they have sat in my camera bag for a good six months.

tah dah this is my prompt to get my wriggle on and give them a whirl!

please bear with me as they are not the best photographs, so lets agree to call it work in progress. for these shots i used the +10 filter. i didn’t have much time this morning to try out all the rest, but be rest assured i will be most certainly giving them a go now as i want to try to crack how to use these little beauties properly.

*swoooooons* Beautiful stuff Vanessa – and I *know* this sounds all airy fairy and not at all like me, but I do think not only are shots like this lovely to look at but they are lovely to take, to look closely at things and really appreciate them.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have a tree to hug…
