i am sharing with you today my favourite pieces of the jingling jangling kind, juglery.

i wear them every day. i sleep in them. i shower/bath in them. these never leave me.

from left to right.

1. a present from lady bubble to me, from a jewellery company called giles and brother based in new york city, but actually from harvey nichols where she is a buyer.

2. from nanny minnie this christmas just gone. lovely little bangle covered in hearts. i heart you nanny minnie.

3. my first christmas present from oliver, from a small shop just off carnaby street called jess james which is no longer there.

4. this used to me my mothers but she doesn’t really wear much jewellery so she gave it to me. it was actually a present to her when she left to go on maternity leave with me, i say maternity leave, she was back at work after 4 weeks!

5. my first christmas present from ronnie. my son has great taste it’s from tiffany.

that concludes my favourite jingly jangly stuff.

the frock in which i wed

i am sharing with you today the frock in which i wed

this is the second frock as i am married for the second time

i didn’t marry in a wedding dress, nor did i the first time

i did try some on the first time round but they all looked frightening on me. so much so that the friends i was with at the time were rolling around laughing at me.

the second time round the dress i bought, i bought in secret before we had even set a date!

bold i know, but not bunny boiler stuff, we were engaged just needed to actually buy a house and shizzle first.

i met my friend, miss lady bubble, in harvey nichols and whilst waiting for her in the shoe department, drooling and stroking the red soles, i noticed out the corner of my eye a frock hanging proud on a pillar.

“buy me” it whispered

i wandered forward

“gone on, you know you want to”

i gazed in wonderment

“i’m gorgeous aren’t i”

 i bearly blinked

miss lady bubble appeared next to me enquiring on my strange behaviour.

miss lady bubble : what you doing hp? (not married yet you see)

hp : just looking

miss lady bubble : you close enough?

hp : it’s nice isn’t it?

hp : nice enough to get married in don’t you think?

miss lady bubble : oh my god hp try it on, go on now *shoving me towards chaining room*

so i did and i loved it, need taking in here and there but perfect

but surely without a date i couldn’t buy it, that’s all a big previous isn’t it?

well miss lady bubble thought not and put it on hold on my behalf. i called my mum she wasn’t sure. i called olivers mum she said get it.

the next day i got it

heavy silk satin 50′s pinched waisted with panelled top in a soft white gold, just like the old mercedes and jaguars. lush

it hid at lady bubbles house for months and months but it was mine

i don’t have a full length picture but here are some others from the day that the decibel due did it in dulwich.

baby me and fashion has a meme, i’ll show you mine, if you show me yours is then your response

this week she is about bags, i have as many bags as i have shoes. so to narrow this down, i have chosen to show you today’s bags. yes bags. these are my monday to friday bags.

you see i exchanged a big bag that i used to fill with incredible amounts of crappola,for a small bag, which i can still fill with and incredible amount of crappola. i was a brownie, we can pack well.

i soon realised my school girl error and that my small bag doesn’t fit laptop, work files or lunch boxes. oh no, do i have to buy a new bag to accommodate these items? oh yes indeed. so now i have a small bag with essentials and shopper styly for workie stuff i don’t need when popping out to lunch blah di blah. and here they are. aren’t they glorious

this is dan. he is from mulberry. dan is great.

inside dan you will find…

a mulberry make-up bag, an oral kiely umbrella-ella, 4 pens, a memory stick, 3 hair pins, carmex lip balm, a comb, my passport, an emergency bus pass, antibacterial wipes and gel, an iPod but strangely no ear phones, leather gloves, comme de garçon purse, mulberry card holder, miu miu business card holder and usually my phone but i’m holding that taking the picture. you see i pack well.

inside lesley you will find…

my snazzy mac book, 2 supplier catalogues from today’s trade fair, a note-book, ronnie’s hat, 2 more pens because 4 in the other bag might not be enough, a highlighter, a3 printouts from work, 2 colour cards for SS13 and a fabric swatch to re-upholster our ercol furniture.
