      it is a goat indeed! i was just having a wonder around spitalfields in london and stumbled across him. i don’t often walk from the liverpool street end so he caught me by surprise!

      it’s the winner of a sculpture competition the artist is kenny hunter. the goat represents how all the successive immigrants to the east end of london all faced their own conflicts, oppression and poverty and finally found their home in london.

      actually the goats are a symbol of all the immigrants that have come to the east end of london to escape from conflict, oppression and povertyand the he crates references the market of spitalfields where this statue is.
