friday night we had a guest come to stay. someone who has never been to our house before. a weekend sleepover. barry bear. the school bear.
ronnie was awarded the head teacher award on friday for his progress in phonics. he was given a certificate to bring home and show mummy and daddy how well he is doing. however together with that certificate comes the responsibility of looking after barry for the weekend.
today being a glorious sunny winters day, we took barry for a trip down the road to crystal palace park. he had much fun!

We have taken our nursery bear on many a trip. Looks like he had good fun and well done on the phonics!
i was terrified of losing him, clung onto him for dear life!
Well done Ronnie and it looks like Barry bear had a wonderful stay with you with lots of outdoor fun and adventure. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
this week was country kids and bears! grrrrrr
Congratulations Ronnie! He must have been excited to have Barrie staying with you, too. Our Austin was jumping through the roof when Rachel Rabbit was sent home with him….
it’s such a responsibility for them. he has made sure he is always safe, hence the seat belt!
Well done to Ronnie, what a great achievement. He must have been thrilled to have Barry bear over, sounds like he was up for anything! Great photos, especially love that last one of them together. Great post thank you for sharing #whatsthestory
he was very excited, all week it has been barry this barry that, we have to fill the scrap book with photos and send it back to school friday morning. we thought it was just the weekend but no it’s the week!
So glad to see he got out and about – I hope he survived coming down the slide head first!
he kind of span around and ended up head first! the bear has skilzz
i know! at first we thought it was just for the weekend but turned out to be a week! oooooo
We’ve had Gerry the Giraffe from school before, looking through his diary in the 3 weeks prior to us having him, he’d been to london, Harry Potter world and Centre Parcs! We had absolutely nothing planned! The munchkin loved having him at home though!
i didn’t expect for it to be so stressful, kept worrying we might lose him or dropping him in a puddle or something. can you imagine the shame with not taking barry or gerry back to school on the monday!
