clearly superheros are on ronnie’s mind this week, considering the turtle conversation and then the one we had this morning. on the way to school, it was very quiet in the car. something was clearly on ronnie’s mind. i could almost hear those cogs turning.
ronnie : why don’t you live with your mummy and daddy?
HPMcQ : because i’m a grown up and i live with you and daddy
ronnie : why doesn’t daddy live with his mummy and daddy?
HPMcQ : because daddy is a grown up and lives with me and you
ronnie : but i like living with my mummy and daddy
HPMcQ : that’s lovely, thank you. we like living with you too, but when you grow up, you might get married and have children of your own and then you will live with them, and not with mummy and daddy
ronnie : no no no NO mummy, i don’t want that. i just want to live with you and daddy and be ironman when i’m a grown up
Aww, so cute. Enjoy it now, might not last – teenagers tend to want the opposite: live as far as possible from their parents.
this is so very true!
Ironman could well be useful though, in the garden, with DIY, with troublesome neighbours! 😀
ooooo good point hadn’t thought about that!
Bless! Does Ironman live with his mum? I am bereft of Ironman knowledge – I have all this to come still 🙂
earlier in the week it was all about ninja turtles, however it’s been pointed out that iron man will be much more use around the home!
My daughter said the same thing to me the other day (minus the Ironman bit) it put the fear of god in me that she might be serious!
a girl can always change her mind you know?!
