the sun came out for just a few hours today, a few hours was just enough for us to escape what feels like a fog of winter heating and to get some fresh air through our heads. it was just what we needed. we drove out to kent and meet the in laws at scotney country house and castle for a picnic and a wander through the country house, gardens and of course the castle. i’ll post a little more about our visit in another post.
there were far too many pictures from one post about bressingham steam and gardens, so this is part two, the first part being here. in this post i am showing you just a handful of the glorious plants and flowers within the gardens of bressingham. these photos do not do it justice at all. the gardens are truly glorious., and if it hadn’t started raining we could have spent hours here wandering amongst the stunning vibrant layers of colour.
now you know how much i love textiles, so i thought i would share these beautifully hand embroidered pieces of romanian clothing from the current exhibition revisiting romania: dress and identity at the horniman museum in forest hill, london.
