before street art, Madc’s creativity started out with degrees in graphic design. her connection with street art however began in her teens, this lead her into researching the sub culture of street art in her twenties and publishing two books on the subject. the first book, sticker city – paper graffiti art was published in 2007. in this book she explores the path and evolution of hand-painted and hand-crafted posters and stickers. her second book, street fronts – graffiti alphabets from around the world, she worked with 154 artists from around the world, to design the 26 letters of the latin alphabet with the limitation of designing within a single page of the book.

tucked around the back of walthamstow there’s a drinking place, called the wild card brewery. a brewery which was founded on the back of a hobby that got way out of hand! this was our destination yesterday. just across the road however was the stunning gods own junk yard. a wondrous neon delight. if you are ever in walthamstow you MUST go and have an nose. in the meantime feast your eyes on these!
