before street art, Madc’s creativity started out with degrees in graphic design. her connection with street art however began in her teens, this lead her into researching the sub culture of street art in her twenties and publishing two books on the subject. the first book, sticker city – paper graffiti art was published in 2007. in this book she explores the path and evolution of hand-painted and hand-crafted posters and stickers. her second book, street fronts – graffiti alphabets from around the world, she worked with 154 artists from around the world, to design the 26 letters of the latin alphabet with the limitation of designing within a single page of the book.

right in between old street and shoreditch, there is the most enormous building site. totally surrounded by boards hiding and protecting us all from whats going on behind. however the outside for the time being is far more interesting, as the street artists have been in full swing covering every square inch.

you can find this building site within boundaries of leonard street, blackall street, willow street, ravey street and great eastern street. but in the meantime marvel and some of these. i’m going to split artworks between a part 1 and part 2, as there’s so much to see.
