bristol

yesterday i was a brave lady. it was exciting but also a tad scary bananas too. i exposed myself. not in a sexy or rudey kind of way, but i actually stood out from behind the safety net that is HPMcQ and said hello to fellow bloggers and tweeters.

we met in bristol the home town of @motherventing where we all came together to celebrate the birthday of the goddess of all new bloggers @mammasaurus. we got soaked in the rain, we had a taxi driver who practically dropped us off in bath and i nearly ended up as a sun fun photo by narrowly missing falling into a moat. we ate sausage & steak, drank gin, milk stout and rum, and then the cuban band arrived and we did dancing stuff too. dancing i know outrageous, i haven’t danced in years. i forgot that i liked it and i want to do it more. we ignored the people in golf attire and flat caps.

it was a lovely evening, meeting people you don’t know but actually you do because you speak every day. all very strange but at the sametime strangely comfortable too. lovely to meet you all. and i thank you that you made me feel so completely welcome.

the roll call:

@mammasaurusblog – honoured to share your birthday with you

@SAHDandproud – wonderful to meet such a true gent

@motherventing – you drank the fucking gin and rattled your maracas

@actuallymummy – yes i have three poncey surnames

@knittymummy – keep up the zumba

@jbmumofone – looking forward to the raunchy i spy, letter d

@pinkoddy – we didn’t get a chance to chat, we most definitely will next time

@babberblog – 3 weeks to go and counting, good luck

@purpleella –Β yes i do shop for a living, shocking behaviour i know

happy birthday mammasaurus, cheers!

It is always a hoot meeting fellow bloggers, tweeters! I have done it a few times, my husband encourages me meeting new people where as my kids give me the lecture I give them about meeting strangers on the internet, lol.

My bf thinks I’m nuts but hey, I need adult conversation some how and since I no longer work, going to the odd tweet up helps tremendously.
