this poppy sits in the front garden of one of the houses opposite ours. it is big. seriously big. it’s the size of a side plate. so blooming stunning. the colours in this photo have not been tinkered with at all. and i like a tinker. how stunning is this flower. it looks almost like fire.

luck was on thomasito’s side today. he had his birthday party in an adventure playground in the park and the sun shone down on us for the whole afternoon. it was glorious. this is ronnie’s run across the fields on our way home, with all his goodies in hand.

we pottered off to the local garden centre yesterday, which not only sells gorgeous plants of all shapes and sizes but also has a lovely little shop selling all kinds of fantastic finds. over in the corner was this fabulous school desk and chair. i really really really want to go back and buy it, but think i might get a bit of a telling off, as i have no idea where we would put it. i showed it to rooster and he loved it too, so maybe when daddy goes out for his run in the morning we should just sneak back and get it anyway and deal with the location and the telling off later!
