fresh flower workshop

with a flurry of 40th birthdays winging their way from all directions, trying to find special individual gifts for your besties can be a tall order. i’ve known claudine for 22 years now and in 22 years you’ve pretty much covered every gift known to mankind. what was i going to get her?  not a scooby. until i spotted a tweet

and there you have it, bingo.

so on tuesday night that’s exactly where i took my bestie claude to say happy birthday, and this is what we made

autumn wreaths

first we learnt how to pack out the wreath ring with moss and then we started to wire on and layer selection of gorgeous autumnal flowers and leaves, all helped along with a glass of processo or two!

we were unusually quite, all very very focused, concentrating hard on getting our wreaths looking wonderful, and making sure the hooks would be strong enough to hang them.

my finished wreath

once we had completed our wreaths, we had a short snack and cake break, which gave me the perfect opportunity to have a little nose around the shop too

and back to work making a central table garland, using oasis in a tray

my finished rose & apple gardland

so if like me you are wondering what to buy as a gift for a friend, a spouse, a family member this was a great evening of learning, making and creating. i highly recommend.

the fresh flower company

disclosure : this indeed was a gift from me to my friend for her birthday. i wasn’t asked to write about our experience and i wasn’t reimbursed in any way. i simply really enjoyed my experience and cared to share.

This looks like an amazing experience and would make the perfect gift – I am somewhat challenged when it comes to plants and flowers so maybe I need to book myself onto one of these workshops

the lovely ladies guided us through, without them the results would have been quite different!

What a great experience, and you did a fab job. You now have the skills to make them for future presents too.

    Oh wow, these are STUNNING!
I am SO bad at arranging flowers, they always look chucked together. I might investigate going on a workshop of my own 😀
