i think ronnie might be in love

seriously, he is acting all odd like

when we were on holiday, actually scrap that, when we were on our way home from holiday we met a rather lovely family at the airport. we met over by the noddy car. we were very early and trying to cut through some time but had run out of euros for noddy. a lady and her daughter had joined us and the girl was riding the … oooooo i can’t remember, but whatever it was that’s what she was riding on. her mother, tapped me on the shoulder and said, “here you go i have a euro”, and popped it straight into to noddy. how kind, how lovely, we thanked her lots. we made our introductions, and from that moment on, all the way from arrecife to gatwick, ronnie and kitty were inseparable.

they played in the queue together, we sat and had our airport picnic together, they sat behind us on the plane and kitty shared her bed time story books with us. when we landed and they woke, they both looked to see if each other were awake, the glee when they discovered they both were. not only did the children get on like a house of fire but her parents were great too. he was a music producer and oliver was in deep discussions about music and producing & mixing programmes. her mum, believe it not, only turned out to be a supplier of mine many many moons ago when i worked for liberty! and to top it all off they live around 2 miles down the road from us. bonkers non?

after collecting our cases, we swapped numbers.

august was all a bit mentalisimo, but the manicness ended last weekend so i sent kitty’s mummy a text to say “hi, what ya doing?” she responded immediately with much enthusiasm to hook up and also that kitty had been asking much of ronnie and were we free the weekend after next. we are, we are, we ARE whoop whoop. only with the text she sent a gorgeous photo of kitty wearing some spectacular heart-shaped sunnies. i swiftly showed this to ronnie. the look on his face was something i hadn’t seen before. i think i saw his heart melt. he wouldn’t let go of my phone, and every time the picture started to fade, he quickly tapped the screen so kitty came back to life. he held onto the phone, staring at kitty all the way from home to nursery.

“mummy she has heart glasses”

when we arrived at the nursery i took the phone from him and put it in my pocket

“mummy, you look after kitty for me today and i see her again tonight?”
