as a child i would take a stroll with my grandparents along the canal, from right outside their house all the way through to victoria park. the canal being the regents canal in east london. i have walked up and down countless times, at the time i was completely unaware of its importance to the industrial revolution.

last week we pottered off to whipsnade zoo. when i say we i mean me, rooster and Mr HPMcQ with a whole heap of other bloggers and their kiddies too. a grand total of 6 bloggers damson lane, mammasaurus, actually mummy, cheetahs in my shoes & being mrs c and our 10 children and one Mr HPMcQ. it was also Mr HPMcQs birthday.

it was a glorious day in many ways, the sun was shining, the children played really nicely together and a great group of what were online friends cemented their real life friendships further. they also sang Mr HPMcQ happy birthday and served him cake what else could any man want.

now i missed week one of the better photo project. i didn’t mean to, i had been really looking forward to it and when annie over on love all blogs posted about it, iย was immediately thinking about the outdoor light so much more. however life kinda got in the way and by the time i got around to taking a photo in natural light. the linky had closed *insert sad face*. so when week two went live, i thought i would play catch up and merge the two together, i do hope that’s ok annie? annie is that ok? is it ok annie? sorry went all michael jackson on you then, won’t happen again ๐Ÿ˜‰

hApPY nEw YEaR!

hope you all had a fun-filled evening. ours was pretty quite to be fair. we are currently at coombe mill, which i’m sure you know already! fiona and nick set up a little gathering by the bbq shed, a shed with a bbq grill inside so you can bbq all year round, how epic is that?! i really really want one however it is the size of our whole garden so maybe not. there were snacks and some bottles of boozy plonk to swig at and just before 8 o’clock nick lit and set off a lantern for matilda mae. once tildas lantern was safely on its way nick launched a display of fireworks for us all to welcome the new year.
