up on the roof

today i’m going to take you to another garden that is not mine. a garden which covers 1.5 acres, with oak trees, fruit trees and a fully stocked stream. it’s just across the road from my office. i can see it from my window. this garden is split into 3 themed gardens, all with their very different and very individual characters and one has some interesting residents too.

there is a spanish garden, my favourite obvs, which is loosely based around the alhambra in granada, spain. with fountains and vine-covered walkways. on a side note, if you ever do find yourself in the south of spain, do go to the alhambra, it is truly magical.

there is the tudor garden, which is has carved stone archways and secret patio areas full of evergreen shrubs, lilies, roses, lavender and wisteria.

then finally there is the english woodland. where in the spring time, the garden is bursting of narcissus, crocus, muscari and anemones. but it is also this garden where you will find the local residents, bill, ben, splosh and pecks. see if you can spot them below. they are not exactly hiding!

On an office block? Really? I could have guess that from one of the first photos but the rest of them is amazing! The channel of water is beautiful but it’s the Spanish garden that would win my heart. Is it open to the public or do you have to know someone to go up on it?

we nip over all the time for lunch or drinks as it’s handy to us at work.

just checked and they are open to the public, but becasue you can hire the gardens as a venue you should call them in advance just to check 0207 937 7994 x

i used to be able to say the same until our offices moved next door, now as we are all complimentary members we can just pop over when we fancy, which is quite nice x thanks for the nice comments about my photos x
